Thankyou so much !!!!
You guys have so many wonderful informative videos. I looked through didn’t see any touching in NC native. Flower, bushes or trees. And none native. 👍🏼
Thanks for sharing 👍
Here in AZ, people wrongly plant them. They require too much water for this desert state that is short of water.
How do I keep them growing in a pot on my porch? Thanks
Your calla is so pretty though the pot is very small 😊❤
Thank you! 😊
😊
😀
I got some for Mother’s Day. I live in Texas I put them in a pot with good soil and fertilizer. I put them out side in the sun and the flowers turn green 😢. What should I do
Thank you❤
You're welcome 😊
Very informative. Hi Jane, it's your former Malmborg's coworker, Alison. ☺️
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge 👍🏻
My pleasure!
Mine get so tall and it just falls or droops over, I even tried putting a tomato cage around it, what do you suggest? Thank you Janice
Do calla lilies bloom throughout the season or they just give out one flower per plant ?
How can I get them to flower by Memorial Day? I live in zone 8.
Can they handle sun after 4pm?
Where are you located?
@@greensideupgardengifts2165 social, zone 10b coastal. maybe sasanquas would be better?
Soft rot got mine one year... never removed it and left for dead... two years later IT REGREW.. not enough for blooms but it had a few leaves... the rizomes are amazing!!
At least she didn't stretch so far as to say millions of years.
Yes, at least I didn't say that. Whew, what a relief.
Love the blooms
❤️
❤❤❤
Thanks for watching!
Than you!
Happy to help!
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing!
You are so welcome!
Thank you! I started my journey last year. I currently have 19 plants in our home, and I have had them from small cuttings to the beautiful plants they are now. I will be signing up for your weekend shops.
Wonderful! It is always a fun journey! 💚
You're wrong about peat moss. It doesn't take 1000s of years. It doesn't even take 100s of years. 20 years. If it took 1000s or 100s of years, Miracle-Gro would have used it all up by now.
Thanks for the info. I will now sleep better tonight.
Watering just right im my experience Is the must crucial Thing for the Norfolk
Absolutely!
Most calla lillies that come from nurseries are grown in low oxygen, poor quality soil. Thats why they get root rot and die. I immediately repot them in well draning potting mix or plant them in a semi shade are. Mine have come back year after year.
Great practice!
Hello I have a question..? My Norfolk pine tree is about 3ft now. It just suddenly got hard brittle and sad. How do I help her? How do I bring her back? She just want to fall apart.
Do you have her near a floor vent/register? If the heat is on, you could be drying it out.
nepenthes are not bog plants..
Cool.. Thanks.
Very informative. Thanks for posting this. From Texas. I love the name of your business.
Thanks for watching! Glad it was helpful!
Some of my flowers turned yellow and i plucked them out when they were loose. Should i keep waiting to do that or should i start cutting them at the base as soon as they turn? Also, the leaf tips are yellow/brown. How do i fix? It stays moist in a pot indoors with good light. Not sure what the soil is bc it was a gift. Does it need liquid fertilizer? If so, what kind? Thank you!
Jane! I was so happy to see you pop up in this video. We used to work together at Malmborgs. You're a natural on camera! ❤
My Christmas cactus looks like they are drying .
I just bought a little one 12" high here at a nursery in Alaska. I can't use my Christmas tree this year due to a rowdy pup I just don't want to have to fight over it so I bought this for the table. Now I see it can't go outside and I can keep it growing nicely inside the house. It's quite a beautiful little soft tree.
Thanks
No problem!
I just brought one home from Walmart and I’m realizing it’s been spray painted dark green 😩 I gave it a really good rinse in the sink. Do you think it’ll be okay? It doesn’t seem to be too heavily painted. It’s quite a good size tree too, I hope it fairs well.
It should be ok!
Polypropylene brakes down in the sun. That's why I always prefer glass. Plastic rain gauges last 2 or 3 years before they start to become brittle & fall apart. Plus the coloring fades.
I believe that's true in most cases. However, I personally have had this rain gauge for 10 plus years (seriously), and it hasn't broken down or failed! It is still working like a champ!
@@greensideupgardengifts2165 Must be made out of polycarbonate.
Thank you Jane
You are so welcome!
My Calla appears to be “overcrowded” it is in its original pt and has 10 flowers on it which are very small. Ca it be reported without harming plant?
Yes, you can repot it. Only step it up to the next size. Don't go too big on the pot.
You don’t have a Christmas cactus, you have a thanksgiving cactus.
Thank you.
Can they survive inside the house in the winter
In my experience, they don't do well. The don't rebloom.
I do tree work and a customer called me out about this same thing and when I got to looking at the tree there were at least a hundred slugs just sucking the life out of the crepe myrtle
Ewwww!
Hi Jane, can you please share the product name that the tree will take up throught the roots?
Hi there! I typically use bonide systemic insect control.
Thank you for the wonderful information!
Our pleasure!
Thank you for this video . My wife and I live in Spring Lake and we are growing some lemon and lime trees in containers, I wanted to share this video with you. This gentleman lives in Wilmington North Carolina, and is growing Satsuma Mandarin orange tree, an avocado tree, and a Meyer, lemon tree, and other citrus trees in ground. Please take a few minutes and fast forward or whatever , it’s only 17 minutes I believe but I know that next year my wife and I will be buying a Meyer lemon tree and a Satsuma Mandarin orange tree and planting them in the ground here in Spring lake thank you for all your videos ua-cam.com/video/o9eQIFvAnSo/v-deo.htmlsi=1JPvyi2Hkw7adymJ
What is too wet and dried out? My mums are struggling and I think/hope it’s water related and I can save them 😭 How often should I be watering and how much? They’re 9 inch gardens
Mums are usually planted in soil medium that dries out quickly. If they are in full sun and the temp is still above 65 degrees, you may need to water every day. Once the temps go down and stay below 60 degrees, you shouldn't have to water every day, Maybe every other day.
What is causing my stringers? I guess you’d call them to fall off it’s always been just a very few but the last week there’s been a lot of them falling off.
where is this plant located right now?
If using the self-watering pot, do you keep water in it, or just water it periodically to allow the plant to be watered much as you did when sitting the pot in the tray to water from the bottom? 9:39
If you wipe out all the insects with 7 then the natural predictors of aphids will die and you will need more pesticide. Any ideas To avoid this cycle?
Can someone tell me the name of the red plant behind on the first shot, please. Also you can plant Calla Lily in water instead of soil.
Can you tell me how does the spray actually kill these worms?....When they hatch they crawl on the tree and crawl over the limbs that have been sprayed? Is that how the spray kills them
How to take care of Dieffenbacia's.
Great idea! Thank you!
